From March 17 to 19, Espaço Tápias in Rio de Janeiro hosts the international workshop FLUXNESS, an immersive experience by Belgian dancer and pedagogue Antoni Androulakis. The course is more than a technical training — it’s a creative exchange reinforcing the space’s role in connecting Brazilian and European contemporary dance scenes.

At the heart of the workshop is Fluxness (or Flow Work), a method developed from years of physical and sensory research. “I make no distinction between how I deal with movement and how I live my daily life. My teaching is therefore a synthesis of what I actively practice: awareness, challenge, and playfulness,” says Androulakis, currently based in Brussels.

Graduated from the Antwerp Conservatory and trained at La Manufacture, Androulakis built a strong career on the European contemporary scene. He has collaborated with Alexander Vantournhout, Lisbeth Gruwez, Rakesh Sukesh, and Eric Minh Cuong Castaing, and worked as assistant choreographer with Cocoon and Keeping. His pedagogical approach blends technical precision with sensory experimentation, bridging dance and contemporary circus.
