BioParque do Rio holds Blue Session on November 30 with free admission for people with ASD and exclusive visiting hours from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
On Sunday, November 30, BioParque do Rio will host a new edition of the Blue Session, an initiative dedicated to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The action is part of the Week of People with Disabilities in Parks and Tourist Attractions and aims to offer a calm, welcoming and inclusive experience.
Exclusive experience and welcoming environment
During the Blue Session, the BioParque circuit will be open exclusively for visitors with ASD and their companions before the general public enters at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will run from 8:30 to 10 a.m., ensuring a quieter environment suited to the participants’ sensory profile.
People with ASD will receive free admission upon presentation of documentation at the ticket office. Each participant may bring up to three companions, who will be entitled to half-price tickets costing R$32.50.
Tickets and capacity
Tickets will be available for 8:30, 9:00 and 9:30 a.m., with an initial limit of 300 spots per session. Reservations must be made exclusively through the BioParque website.
Partnership and specialized support
The Blue Session is carried out in partnership with the homonymous project, which adapts cultural and leisure experiences to the needs of people with autism. Trained professionals will be present throughout the visit to ensure comfort and well-being.
