BioParque do Rio’s Blue Session offers a free, exclusive visit for people with ASD on January 11.
On Sunday, January 11, the BioParque do Rio will host another edition of the Blue Session, a special event for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The initiative provides an exclusive visiting period from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in a calm and controlled environment with limited entry.
During the Blue Session, people with ASD have free admission upon proof at the ticket office. Each participant can bring up to three companions, who pay a half-price ticket of R$ 34.50 each. After 10 a.m., the park reopens to the general public.
Tickets for companions will be available on the BioParque website for entry times at 8:30 a.m., 9 a.m., and 9:30 a.m., with an initial limit of 300 tickets per slot. The initiative aims to ensure safety, comfort, and reduced sensory stimulation for visitors.
The project is carried out in partnership with the Blue Session initiative and is part of the BioParque’s ongoing inclusion and accessibility efforts. During the event, access to the park is restricted to the target audience and their companions, ensuring a quiet and welcoming environment.
