Part of the XI MITsp – Mostra Internacional de Teatro de São Paulo, the Capobianco Showcase celebrates the richness and diversity of Brazilian contemporary theater. Featuring productions by mundana companhia, Núcleo Bartolomeu de Depoimentos and Núcleo Olho (Janaina Leite), the initiative reinforces Instituto Capobianco’s commitment to experimentation and artistic dialogue.

The program explores memory, body, ancestry, identity, and urban experience, blurring boundaries between performance and theater. The lineup includes A PALMA, MEU NOME: MAMÃE, O Corpo Material e Imaterial em suas Borderlines, and Hip Hop Blues – Espólio das Águas.

Program highlights

A PALMA, directed by Mariano Mattos Martins, follows a veteran actress between delirium and self-reflection. In MEU NOME: MAMÃE, actor Aury Porto, directed by Janaina Leite, delivers a poetic monologue on memory and the tenderness of caregiving.

Leite also presents O Corpo Material e Imaterial em suas Borderlines, a lecture-performance on the body as a living archive. Closing the showcase, Hip Hop Blues – Espólio das Águas, directed by Claudia Schapira, blends theater, music, and testimony to discuss social tensions through a Brechtian lens.
