Romantic musical returns

Charles Aznavour – An Invented Romance graces Teatro Vannucci from January 8 to 29. Conceived by Sylvia Bandeira, it honors the French icon’s timeless hits.

Sylvia stars with Mauricio Baduh, directed by Daniel Dias da Silva and musically by Liliane Secco. Launched post-pandemic in 2021, it sold out Rio runs.

Tale drawn from real meetings

Saulo Sisnando’s script draws from Sylvia’s photos with Aznavour. It weaves longing, passion and time via songs like “La Bohème” and “La Mamma”.

Synopsis: Bored actress Isabel grants shy journalist Heitor an interview, sparking tales of her invented youth romance with Aznavour. Letters bind their stories.
