Charlie Brown Jr. ignites the stage at Sesc Verão 2026 this Saturday (Jan 17) in Barra de São João. Pique Novo, Araketu, and Vitor Kley join free Olympic workshops.

Sesc Summer Arena Heats Up Praião Beach

The Sesc Verão Arena at Praião de Barra de São João hosts Brazilian music stars. Charlie Brown Jr. kicks off Jan 17 (Sat., 10pm), followed by Vitor Kley (Jan 18, Sun., 9pm), Swing & Simpatia (Jan 24), Araketu (Jan 25), Leandro Sapucahy (Jan 31), and Pique Novo (Feb 1).

At Prainha, local acts start at 4:30pm: Banda Faya (Jan 17), Diego Black (Jan 18), Ruan Solis (Jan 24), Afroribeirinhos (Jan 25), Thati Dias (Jan 31), and Omnia Vincit (Feb 1).

Olympic Champs Lead Free Workshops

Sports shine with free sessions by top athletes. Highlights: Beach Tennis with Guilherme Prata (Jan 17, 10am), Footvolley with Monique Góis (Jan 18, 10am), Freestyle Soccer with Adonias (Jan 24, 10am), Beach Volleyball with Jackie Silva (Jan 25, 3pm), Skate with Ítalo Penarrubia (Feb 1, 10am), and Table Soccer/Keepie-Uppie with Rafaella Fontes (Feb 1, 3pm).

More: Sesc Botafogo demo game (Jan 31, 10am) and Celebrity All-Star Game (Jan 31, 3pm). Kids enjoy inflatables 9am-5pm daily.

Culture and Exhibits at Prainha

Prainha features circus shows (Jan 17, 18, 25, 31 & Feb 1, 3pm), Aerial Dance (Jan 24, 3pm), and poet Max Mendes’ “Poetry Saves Lives” with literary paper boats (Jan 24, 10am).

Three exhibits run Jan 17-Feb 1 (9am-6pm): “Avistar Horizontes Poéticos” (interactive poetry chairs and telescopes), “Summer of Care” (health tips on skin, hydration, nutrition), and “Conecta Mar” (coastal ecosystems interactive display).
