Cia. Salto Alto presents “PernalTAP” with free shows in Santo André

“PernalTAP” blends physical theater, tap dance and stilt acrobatics in free outdoor performances across Santo André.

Starting on November 21, 2025, Cia. Salto Alto premieres its show “PernalTAP” with free performances in various public spaces in Santo André. The production marks the company’s debut, combining physical theater, American tap dance and stilt acrobatics in a playful, movement-filled performance for all ages.

A poetic journey of rhythm and discovery

At the center of the stage is the traveler Pernalta, guided by an unusual compass, who meets Dorinha, a curious sea swallow. Together, they embark on a journey full of discoveries, guided by the encounters along the way and the audience’s participation. The soundtrack, built on percussive rhythms, uses the sound of the character’s footsteps to drive the story forward.

Through humor and interaction, the show transforms public spaces into living stages where movement and imagination merge. The company’s creative approach explores the relationship between body, space and spectators.

About the project and the company

The performances are part of the “PernalTAP” project, supported by the National Aldir Blanc Policy (PNAB) 2024 through the Santo André Department of Culture. Cia. Salto Alto is a collective that merges physical theater, tap dance and stilt acrobatics, focusing on movement and interaction with public spaces and audiences.
