Ciro Palomino unveils “Morpheus: Nightmares and Awakenings” at Rio’s Centro Cultural Correios, blending darkness and hope in free-entry exhibition.
Peruvian artist Ciro Palomino transforms humanity’s inner conflicts into art in his new show “Morpheus: Nightmares and Awakenings”, on view at Centro Cultural Correios RJ from March 25 to May 9, 2026. The exhibition is curated by Carlos Bertão with scenography by Alê Teixeira and support from the Consulate General of Peru in Rio de Janeiro.
Inspired by the Greek god of dreams, Palomino’s pieces reveal visions of a world haunted by war, inequality, and self-destruction — yet still yearning for a glimmer of hope. The artist, awarded by the UN and UNESCO, channels his social and environmental work into artworks exhibited across New York, São Paulo, Rio, and Seoul.

Palomino graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and serves as a UN consultant in Brazil. His “Conciencia” project debuted at the UN headquarters in New York in 2017 and has since drawn over 200,000 visitors in Brazil.
