They are part of the Coral das Marés, a project by the Instituto Sabendo Mais, performing a special tribute to the renowned lyric singer Maria Lucia Godoy.

Conducted by Lucio Zandonadi, the choir will perform alongside cellist David Chew, the festival’s music director. Ten years of musical education
With ten years of activities, the Coral das Marés has welcomed over three thousand children and teenagers aged 6 to 17. Promoted by Instituto Sabendo Mais, the project fosters cultural and musical growth while encouraging discipline, teamwork, and self-esteem among participants.
“Our goal is to make music education accessible and create opportunities for those who wish to pursue it professionally. Participation in the choir also strengthens learning, improving memory, focus, and reasoning,” says Sandra Garcia, director of Instituto Sabendo Mais.
