Descontrole Festival energizes Tendal da Lapa this Sunday (16) with free hardcore and metal shows on two stages.
Festival gathers punk and metal fans
This Sunday, starting at 9 a.m., the Centro Cultural Tendal da Lapa welcomes punk and metal fans for the Descontrole Festival.
The programming, curated by the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, highlights the underground scene.
The event brings together established acts and new names in hardcore and metal, all with free admission.
Bands include No Violence, Paura, Surra, Octopoulpe, Mee, Stomp, Social Shit, Obsoletion, Ethel Hunter, Ato Fálico and Discurso de Pobre.
Two stages and creative economy fair
Besides concerts, the venue features a fair with exhibitors working in the creative economy.
The festival is recommended for audiences aged 12 and up and takes place across two stages.
The interspersed schedule integrates audiences and artists from different regions.
Highlights of hardcore and metal
The band No Violence returns after two decades with a concert based on the 2004 album “Invencível”.
The show takes place on the outdoor stage at 7 p.m. and celebrates the group’s legacy.
Paura celebrates 30 years on the indoor stage at 6 p.m., mixing hardcore and metal.
The group, founded in 1995, has thirteen releases and several international tours.
At 5:30 p.m., Surra brings its “trashpunk” sound to the outdoor stage.
The trio from Santos blends extreme music with lyrics that reflect critically on society.
Octopoulpe performs on the indoor stage at 5 p.m., mixing math rock and hardcore punk.
The artist manages drums, projections and lights simultaneously in a humorous and energetic set.
Free transport on event day
The festival takes place on the second ENEM exam day and offers free municipal transport through Domingão Tarifa Zero.
Students also have free metro access to reach the exam locations.
