Visual artists Gloria Conforto and Dirce Fett present the exhibition “Dois Olhares” at the Correios Cultural Center RJ, starting on December 10. Curated by José Ricardo Barbosa dos Santos, the show invites the public to an introspective visual journey.
The works stand out for their diversity in conception, form, and technique. Even so, the productions are harmonized by beauty and visual stimulation. The proposal highlights the plurality of artistic languages in a single exhibition space.
Gloria and Dirce developed extensive research in painting with artist and master Orlando Mollica. This partnership follows more than ten years of intensive training. From this background, each artist reached distinct and personal aesthetic paths.
Gloria Conforto presents works from the Silence Series. These are small-format oil paintings on canvas. The pieces encourage the viewer to immerse in contemplation and in the inner silence that generated the works.
All landscapes in the series are fictitious. They derive from the artist’s emotion as imagined contemplative objects. The proposal stimulates a sensitive and introspective experience through painting.
Dirce Fett presents large-format works with strong colors and intense expression. The dimly lit environment causes immediate emotional impact. The lighting is focused exclusively on the canvases.
Her work explores the paradox between pattern and pictorial gesture. It also investigates the relationship between figure and background. Figures emerge or dissolve into a background treated as chromatic stains.
The figures are built with thick layers of paint. This process creates contrasting harmony between areas of intensity and dissolution. The result enhances the expressive strength of the compositions.
The exhibition can be visited until January 17, 2026. Visiting hours are from Tuesday to Saturday, from 12 pm to 7 pm. Admission is free and suitable for all audiences.
