From November 19 to 30, 2025, São Paulo hosts the first Ecos Latinoamericanos Festival, a unique event celebrating the diversity of Latin American classical music. The program features 16 performances and a variety of formats, including matinees, baby concerts, musical picnics and free urban interventions at Estação Motiva Cultural – Sala São Paulo, SESC Belenzinho, the Pinacoteca and the Minhocão.

A tribute to Latin American art and emotion

Under the artistic direction of Bolivian clarinetist Camila Barrientos and executive direction of Brazilian trumpeter Bruno Lourensetto, the festival presents 20 artists from nine countries. Highlights include Erika Ribeiro, Mauro Ciavattini, Alejandro Aldana and Varinia Oyola-Rebaza, guided by the artistic board formed by Élodie Bouny and Lívia Mattos.

“The Ecos Latinoamericanos Festival was born from the desire to celebrate the diversity of Latin American classical music and bring audiences closer to this vibrant production,” said Bruno Lourensetto, executive director.

Susana Baca and leading artists from the continent

Three-time Latin Grammy winner Susana Baca is one of the main attractions, performing with the Ensemble Ecos. The repertoire includes works by Villa-Lobos, Ginastera, Revueltas, Piazzolla and contemporary composers such as Élodie Bouny and Gabriela Ortiz, with several world premieres that highlight the richness of Latin American music.

“A festival like Ecos Latinoamericanos is essential for breaking eurocentrism and giving voice to living composers,” said Élodie Bouny.

Inspired by the motto ¡Somos fervientemente latinoamericanos!, the festival promotes encounters between art, affection and community, expanding access to classical music and fostering emotional connections between artists and audiences. It also includes special programs for mothers and babies, encouraging early musical listening and sensitivity.

Program and venues

The schedule includes concerts at Estação Motiva Cultural, SESC Belenzinho, the Pinacoteca and urban performances at the Minhocão, closing with the Ocupação Latina on November 30. Events take place from morning to night, featuring “saideiras” and innovative formats such as the Baby Concert.
