Espro holds free End-of-Year Choir performance with 150 youths on the steps of Rio City Council on December 4 at 5 p.m..
The nonprofit organization, active for 46 years in youth job market insertion, gathers participants aged 14 to 24 from its programs. The event takes place on the steps of Palácio Pedro Ernesto in Cinelândia and is open to the public.
Beyond art, the Espro Choir builds socioemotional skills like communication and self-confidence, key for employment. Seven in ten Brazilian executives value these skills as much as technical ones, per the entity’s survey.
“Youth development comes through experience, coexistence and sense of ownership. The Choir offers all that in a special way”, says Alessandro Saade, Espro executive superintendent.
Eclectic setlist
The repertoire features diversity with “Tempo Perdido” (Legião Urbana), “Unwritten” (Natasha Bedingfield), “A Paz” (Roupa Nova) and “Continuação de um Sonho” (BK, JXNV$ and GIGANTES). It also includes “Vinhetas de Maracatu” and a medley of Cazuza, Rita Lee and Lulu Santos.
