Fernando Lindote debuts catalog and new exhibition in Florianópolis

Helena Fretta Gallery launches catalog and opens new Fernando Lindote exhibition on November 18, featuring 14 works and free admission.

The Helena Fretta Gallery hosts the launch of the LINDOTE catalog and the opening of the exhibition of the same name dedicated to artist Fernando Lindote on November 18, 2025, starting at 7 p.m. The program includes a conversation with the artist at 6 p.m. followed by the official launch of the publication, which will be distributed free of charge.

The catalog brings together works from the LINDOTE exhibition organized by the gallery in 2023, along with pieces selected by the artist and produced between 2023 and 2024. The publication features critical texts by Denise Matar, Sandra Makowiecky and Ylmar Corrêa Neto, offering an in-depth view of Lindote’s trajectory and artistic approach.

For this new exhibition, 14 paintings were selected, including four new works created especially for the occasion. All pieces by the artist, who is represented by the gallery, will be available for acquisition.

Awarded distinctions such as the Marcantonio Vilaça Prize 2017, Lindote continues to establish himself as a leading figure in contemporary Brazilian art, strengthening the collecting scene in Santa Catarina and across the country.

“This publication gives visibility to Lindote’s work, offering those who did not visit the 2023 exhibition the opportunity to enter the brilliant mind of a singular artist whose work makes us question whether we are observing it or it is observing us,” says Helena Fretta.

Visitation, with free admission, runs until December 6 at the Helena Fretta Gallery, located at Rua Presidente Coutinho, 532, in downtown Florianópolis. The space is open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
