Circus artist Guilherme Torres presents his new act, part of the “Vidrado” project, on November 18, 2025, at 8 p.m., at the Teatro Municipal de Mauá. The performance is free and open to all ages.
Balancing technique and emotion
Combining glass bottles, unicycle, and acrobatic bicycle, Guilherme creates a performance that defies gravity and follows the journey of a dreamer climbing his symbolic mountain. The narrative blends courage, creativity, and balance to explore themes of challenge and self-discovery.
Everyday objects — bottles, chairs, bicycles — become bridges and trails guiding the character’s ascent. The result is a visually striking and poetic performance, suitable for both children and adults, that balances risk and delicacy.
Artistic path and research
Guilherme began his circus journey in 2008 through the Instituto Pombas Urbanas social project in São Paulo. A founding member of Circo Teatro Palombar, he has performed with several companies while developing a deep study of balance techniques, particularly with glass bottles, unicycle, and acrobatic bicycle — becoming a leading name in the field.
Directed by Adriano Mauriz, this new number marks a mature phase in Guilherme’s career, merging technique, improvisation, and theatricality. The project “Vidrado” was selected through the Fomento CULTSP PNAB nº 34/2024 program and will tour cities across Greater São Paulo.
