The Japan Foundation has opened applications for its 2026 programs, available until December 2, 2025, at 1:00 PM (Japan time). Opportunities are divided into three major categories: Arts and Cultural Exchange, Japanese-Language Education Overseas, and Japanese Studies & Global Partnerships.

Applications must be submitted exclusively through the online application portal, and all forms must be completed in English or Japanese.

Arts and Cultural Exchange

Programs that promote Japanese art and culture worldwide and foster collaboration among professionals.

Japanese Studies Overseas & Global Partnerships

Programs designed to enhance international understanding of Japan and strengthen academic dialogue.

Japanese-Language Education Overseas

Training programs for Japanese-language teachers and specialists in cultural and academic fields.
