On Comedian’s Day, the Humor Contra-Ataca festival fills Qualistage with Brazil’s top comics, celebrating the art and power of laughter.
Laughter commands the spotlight this Comedian’s Day. The Humor Contra-Ataca 2026 festival brings together some of Brazil’s biggest comedy names at Qualistage in Rio de Janeiro, running until April 10.
Curated by actress and producer Renata Castro Barbosa, the event celebrates the diversity of Brazilian comedy — multiple styles, accents, and perspectives united on one stage. More than 23 million followers testify to the stars’ reach and to a new golden age for humor.
Now in its third edition, the festival returns bigger than ever, with arena-sized production, lighting, and sound. It transforms comedy into a large-scale spectacle without losing its essence: laughter as both art and reflection.
