After drawing over 32,000 spectators across Brazil, Marília Gabriela’s acclaimed play returns to São Paulo for a limited season in March.
The acclaimed production The Last Interview of Marília Gabriela returns to São Paulo after touring six major Brazilian cities, including Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Brasília, and Belo Horizonte. The show runs from March 27 to May 3 at the VillaLobos Theatre, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m.
Written by Michelle Ferreira and directed by Bruno Guida, the play stars Marília Gabriela and her son Theodoro Cochrane. The story unfolds as a live interview where fiction and reality blur — turning a talk show into an emotional confrontation about motherhood, legacy, and identity.
The show masterfully blends comedy and drama as it tackles topics like feminism, generation gaps, ageism, and the delicate boundary between the personal and the public. The audience is invited to be part of the story, even participating in the actress’s famous rapid-fire Q&A format.
Produced by Rega Início Produções Artísticas and Renata Alvim, the play reaffirms Marília Gabriela’s strength as both performer and storyteller, turning the stage into a space of reflection and emotional truth.
Tickets are available at www.sympla.com.br and at the official VillaLobos Theatre box office.
