It is a rare moment in any career. Mother and daughter, Bárbara Bruno and Vanessa Goulartt are sharing the spotlight across three different projects at once — crossing formats, generations, and artistic languages in a partnership built on heritage, admiration, and distinct individual voices.

Vertical series for the digital age

In the growing format of vertical series — designed for mobile consumption — the two bring an agile, direct storytelling style to screens. The productions are by VRA Production and will be available on the Sua Novela app. The project highlights both actresses’ versatility, moving effortlessly between classic dramatic tradition and contemporary innovation.

Cinema: a story about time and new beginnings

On the big screen, they are both part of the cast of “É Tempo de Amoras” (“It’s Time for Blackberries”), directed by Anahi Borges. The film explores affection, memory, and fresh starts in a sensitive narrative about the passage of time. Their real-life closeness brings an undeniable authenticity to their characters.

Theater: art, memory, and the avant-garde

On stage, the two recently appeared together in the acclaimed production “Gertrude, Alice e Picasso”, written by Alcides Nogueira. The play dives into the world of Gertrude Stein, Alice B. Toklas, and Pablo Picasso. Directed by Vanessa Goulartt and featuring Bárbara Bruno in the cast, the show weaves together art, memory, and creative daring.

A legacy being rewritten together

Daughter of Bárbara Bruno and granddaughter of Paulo Goulart and Nicette Bruno, Vanessa Goulartt carries one of Brazilian theater’s most celebrated artistic lineages. By sharing the stage and screen with her mother across three simultaneous projects, she reaffirms not just the continuity of that tradition, but the creation of a bold new chapter — written by both of them.

More than a scheduling coincidence, their collaboration across three productions signals a moment of artistic and emotional maturity.

Between scripts, cameras, and backstage conversations, Bárbara and Vanessa show that the stage can be an extension of home — and that love, when shared on screen, finds new ways to endure.
