MRS Christmas Train 2025 travels through SP, RJ and MG

From December 3 to 12, the MRS Christmas Train brings holiday spirit to cities in São Paulo, Rio and Minas Gerais.

The charm of Christmas will once again take over the railways with another edition of the MRS Logistics Christmas Train. The illuminated and decorated train will cross several cities in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. The initiative brings light, emotion and holiday spirit to communities along the railroad.

In 2025, the action is carried out in partnership with the Brazilian Railway Preservation Association (ABPF). The project repeats the success of previous editions. Moreover, it strengthens the bond between MRS and the cities along the route.

“The Christmas Train is a project that fills us with pride. It symbolizes unity, joy and MRS’s commitment to valuing the communities that live near the railway. Each year, we seek to renew this experience, creating unforgettable moments for families and keeping the magic of Christmas alive on the tracks,” says Carolina Nunes, Manager of Political and Social Community Relations at MRS.

The trains depart from their points of origin at 6:45 pm. They follow a trajectory of light and celebration. Real-time tracking will be available starting December 3. Safety guidance remains a central concern throughout the operation.

The organization reinforces the importance of keeping a safe distance from the train. Special care is required when taking photos. Loss of spatial awareness during selfies may cause accidents.

12/03 – From 6:45 pm: São José dos Campos/SP, Caçapava, Taubaté, Pindamonhangaba and Roseira (SP)

12/04 – From 6:45 pm: Aparecida, Guaratinguetá, Lorena, Cachoeira Paulista and Cruzeiro (SP)

12/05 – From 6:45 pm: Cruzeiro, Lavrinhas, Queluz, Itatiaia, Resende, Barra Mansa and Volta Redonda (RJ)

12/08 – From 6:45 pm: Volta Redonda, Pinheiral and Barra do Piraí (RJ)

12/09 – From 6:45 pm: Barra do Piraí, Valença, Vassouras, Paraíba do Sul, Três Rios, Comendador Levy Gasparian, Santana do Deserto, Simão Pereira and Matias Barbosa (MG)

12/10 – From 6:45 pm: Matias Barbosa to Juiz de Fora (MG)

12/11 – From 6:45 pm: Juiz de Fora, Ewbank da Câmara, Santos Dumont, Antônio Carlos, Barbacena, Alfredo Vasconcelos, Ressaquinha and Carandaí (MG)

12/12 – From 6:45 pm: Carandaí, Cristiano Otoni, Conselheiro Lafaiete and Congonhas (MG)
