Museum of Tomorrow launches Simbioses 2026, an immersive program exploring fire and calling young researchers.
The Museum of Tomorrow announced the opening of applications for Simbioses — Summer Exchange 2026, an experimental training program that integrates its annual curatorial cycle. The initiative invites young creators and researchers aged 25 to 35 for an immersion focused on imagining possible futures through the relations between art, science, technology and society, centered on the element Fire.
The program will take place in person between January and February 2026 at the Museum of Tomorrow, with approximately 90 hours of activities. Applications are free and remain open until December 10 on the institution’s official website.
Three integrated stages
The Simbioses project is structured into three complementary phases. “Simbioses Theory — Summer Exchange” consists of two weeks of intensive training, with dialogical classes, writing dynamics and mediation activities.
The experience is organized into two dimensions: shared theory and practice, and coexistence and mediation, encouraging collaborative networks and critical thinking among participants.
In July 2026, “Simbioses Prototyping — Winter Exchange” will focus on developing prototypes, narratives and interactive experiments grounded in the summer theoretical work.
“Simbioses — Seminar” will take place in December 2026, with three public meetings open to the community, presenting reflections and results from both exchanges.
Participant profile
Applicants may come from humanities, natural sciences, visual arts, design, philosophy, anthropology, biology, architecture, communication or related fields.
The program will prioritize candidates from diverse racial backgrounds — especially Black, Indigenous and traditional communities — as well as those with peripheral, transdisciplinary or hybrid trajectories. Women, LGBTQIAPN+ people and people with disabilities will also receive priority.
Participants will receive certificates upon completion.
