“The Force of Dialogue” brings together Nuno Ramos and Marcos Amaro’s creative power in a striking exhibition at FAMA Museum in Itu.
Opening on March 14, the FAMA Museum presents “The Force of Dialogue: Nuno Ramos & Marcos Amaro”, an exhibition uniting two generations of Brazilian contemporary art. Displayed at the Almeida Jr. Room, Sector 5, until November 1, 2027, the show explores the artists’ intersecting journeys and their mutual admiration.
Highlights include Nuno Ramos’s “Palavra Salobra”, made with vaseline, beeswax, pigments, and metals, and Marcos Amaro’s “Mustang”, a powerful sculpture merging aircraft fuselage and canvas. The exhibition explores how their distinct visual languages—poetic materiality and industrial gesture—intertwine in a reflection on time, matter, and creation.
Nuno Ramos is recognized for his expressive use of layered materials, while Marcos Amaro, artist and founder of FAMA Museum, merges industrial aesthetics with emotional craftsmanship, transforming repurposed materials into new narratives.
“What moves me most is painting, the organization of materials, and how they reveal themselves to the world,” says Marcos Amaro.
Founded in 2018, the Marcos Amaro Art Factory Museum is one of Latin America’s largest contemporary art centers, housing over 3,500 Brazilian works. The exhibition reinforces its mission to foster dialogue between artists across generations and styles.
