The world’s largest open-air cinema returns to Rio’s Gávea with a full sensory experience. Presented by Brazil’s Ministry of Culture and Nubank, the event combines blockbuster movies, live performances, and a premium food court, creating a mix of culture, technology, and flavor under the stars.

A feast for movie lovers

The food area was curated to reflect Rio’s vibrant culinary scene. Visitors can enjoy burgers from T.T. Burger, seafood from La Carioca, Argentine classics from Las Empanadas, dishes from Quartinho, Italian options from Sisi, and desserts by Absurda bakery.

A screen the size of a dream

The 325 m² screen—roughly the size of a tennis court—uses Swiss technology and 4K projection, complemented by a 28-speaker Dolby Digital Surround system. Highlights include “Wicked – Part 2”, “Avatar: Fire and Ashes”, “Thelma & Louise”, and “SpongeBob: The Quest for the Square Pants”.

Movies, live shows, and starlight

The festival presents 18 sessions over three weeks, with live performances by Pedro Baby & Mart’nália, Catto, 2ZDinizz, and Jéssica Gaspar. Each screening offers a unique atmosphere, where cinema meets concert energy.
