Orla TotalPass opens in October at São Paulo’s Villa-Lobos Park, offering \(12{,}000\) \(m^2\) of sports, food, Wi‑Fi and free public access.
Starting in October, São Paulo will gain a new gathering spot inside Villa-Lobos Park. Spanning \(12{,}000\) \(m^2\), Orla TotalPass will be open and free to the public, combining sand courts for beach tennis and other activities with food options and green, social hangout areas.
The project comes from a naming-rights partnership between Orla Brasil—known for reshaping urban waterfronts and parks across the country—and TotalPass, one of Brazil’s leading corporate health and well-being solutions. For TotalPass, the venue turns a largely digital proposition into a physical place where anyone, customer or not, can experience the brand’s push for healthier habits and self-care.
“The Orla is a new model for urban connection. We bring together physical, mental and social health through experiences that create real presence and lasting bonds. In the post-digital world, the ability to generate human connection has become the most valuable strategic asset—and that’s what we deliver here.”
The statement is from Cláudio Guarcello, CEO of Orla TotalPass. He says the venue is designed as an invitation to breathe better, work with more freedom and reconnect with the city in a different way.
“We’ve always been on the phone, giving access to thousands of gyms and studios, but now with Orla TotalPass anyone can get to know and live our essence, even without the corporate benefit. It’s the physical translation of what we believe—that well-being is for everyone.”
Felipe Calbucci, TotalPass Latam CEO, highlights the goal of expanding access to well-being experiences in the heart of São Paulo.
Well-being, leisure and outdoor work
With 6G Wi‑Fi, work tables, power outlets and natural shade, Orla TotalPass also targets people who want to work outdoors. The plan also includes outdoor gyms, free classes such as yoga, stretching and fitness, plus a “water park” area for children.
The space will not require registration or a subscription. Guarcello says the idea is to let anyone step onto the sand, exercise, or simply enjoy a coffee surrounded by greenery at any time.
Food and brand partnerships
Confirmed food partners include Più, Pato com Laranja, OAKBerry and Amalfi. A “sand-by-the-sea promenade,” created by artist Marcella Riani, aims to bring a coastal feel into the city.
Among sponsors and supporters, the project names SulAmérica, Red Bull, LVMH, Diageo and Castas. The group reinforces the plan to mix well-being and social experiences into daily urban life.
Sustainability and certification
Orla Brasil says the São Paulo venue will follow the same performance standards seen in its projects elsewhere. In Salvador, for instance, the company leads the transformation of Pituaçu’s waterfront with a sustainability-driven approach tied to local culture and to professionals already working in the area.
In São Paulo, the plan includes social and environmental initiatives designed to create positive impact in and around the park. Composting and recycling measures are expected to send less than \(10\%\) of solid waste to landfills, mirroring other practices already adopted by the park.
“Our commitment goes far beyond creating a pleasant space. Orla TotalPass reflects Orla Brasil’s principles of combining innovation, technology and sustainability, ensuring our projects are built to last and leave a legacy for the city of São Paulo.”
Guilherme Borges, Orla Brasil co-founder and vice president, says the project stands out for embedding sustainable practices from the start. He adds that the initiative is among the pioneers pursuing the Sustainable Site certification, which recognizes efforts to minimize environmental impacts.
