With eight cities and free concerts, Sesc Jazz & Blues Circuit 2026 begins in Paraty, making Rio’s inland a global music destination.
From April 10 to 12, Paraty hosts the opening weekend of the Sesc Jazz & Blues 2026 edition, expanding cultural circulation across Rio de Janeiro state. The project now covers eight cities — including Rio and Petrópolis — bringing together Brazilian and international artists in free performances.
The opening concert highlights bassist Dudu Lima, joined by Caetano Brasil, Leandro Scio and veteran Carlos Malta. Other attractions include Claudette King, daughter of blues legend BB King, with guitarist Bruno Marques, plus Gabriel Grossi, Fred Sunwalk, Lady Trucker from Mississippi performing with The Simi Brothers, and DJ Breno (LOUDER).
Throughout three months, the Circuit travels through Miguel Pereira, Búzios, Casimiro de Abreu, Rio das Ostras — the largest jazz and blues festival in Latin America — Rio de Janeiro, Petrópolis and Ipiabas. The initiative strengthens Sesc RJ’s mission of cultural democratization and audience development.
“More than just concerts, the Sesc Jazz & Blues Circuit is a cultural movement committed to sustainability and public access,” says producer Stenio Mattos (Azul Produções).
Inspired by Rio das Ostras’ legacy, the Circuit encourages tourism and creative economy while boosting local cultural production.
