The Sociedade Teatral de Fazenda Nova (STFN) announced the cast for the 2026 Passion of Christ season, marking the centenary of Plínio Pacheco, founder of Nova Jerusalém, in Brejo da Madre de Deus (PE).
Main cast
Dudu Azevedo will play Jesus, Beth Goulart as Mary, Marcelo Serrado as Pilate, and Carlo Porto as Herod. They will perform on the monumental city-theater stages alongside dozens of local artists and more than 400 extras.
Historic season and tickets

Cast highlights
Dudu Azevedo is known for dramatic roles in TV, film, and theater, including portraying Jesus in the TV Record telenovela (2018) and the series “Veronika” (2025).
Beth Goulart, with over 50 years of experience, brings intensity and sensitivity to Mary. She recently released the book “O que transforma a gente?” and will appear in the telenovela “Tudo por uma Segunda Chance” (2025).
Marcelo Serrado excels in both drama and comedy. Recent works include the films “Se a Vida Começasse Agora” and “Uma Babá Gloriosa” (2024) and the series “Beleza Fatal” (2025).
Carlo Porto, rising star in national and international productions, will play Herod. Recent projects include “A Rainha da Pérsia” (2024) and the telenovela “Gênesis” (2021).
