In “Tramas” at Centro Cultural Correios RJ, artist Patrícia Secco connects Brazil and Atlantis through art, imagination, and environmental renewal.
Brazilian visual artist Patrícia Secco invites visitors to an immersive journey where art becomes an act of collective healing. Curated by Carlos Bertão with exhibition design by Alê Teixeira, “Tramas” explores the connections between nature, mythology, and the tactile world.
The show combines embroidered canvases, painted masks, ceramics, and textile installations that merge tradition with imagination. The embroidered works act as living maps of rivers and roots, while the masks honor Brazil’s fauna, flora, and folk rituals, appearing as symbolic guardians of memory.
The textile installation moves like a dream in motion: fabric birds and fish float amid red threads that pulse like arteries linking sky and sea. White ceramic sculptures evoke mythical flowers from Atlantis — silent remains of an imagined underwater garden that speaks of purity and rebirth.
Through the idea of an “Aesthetic of Regeneration,” the exhibition responds to climate anxiety with balance and beauty. Teixeira’s design turns the space into a flowing landscape of light, texture, and transparency.
Parallel activities
The program features the collective “Dream Network” action during the vernissage on March 25, a textile upcycling workshop, and the talk “Art, Climate and Dream.” The show closes on May 9 with a communal finissage celebration.
