Decathlon celebrates São Paulo’s anniversary at MASP on Jan 25 with Olympic athletes, gymnastics, and badminton. Free event with open registration.
To celebrate the city’s 472nd anniversary, the MASP Free Span transforms once again into a sports arena. On January 25, from 8 AM to 6 PM, the 5th edition of Playground Decathlon takes place. This free event unites sports, leisure, and culture right on Avenida Paulista.
This special edition features a partnership with Sesc and is part of the Sesc Verão program. The goal is to democratize access to sports practice and occupy urban space with health and social interaction.
Olympic athletes and inclusion
The program highlights the presence of major national sports names. Ygor Coelho, the first Brazilian to compete in badminton at the Olympic Games, will lead an open class at 9 AM. The athlete, discovered by the social project Miratus, will present the sport interactively.
Artistic gymnastics will also be featured with Olympic athletes Julia Soares and Lorrane Oliveira. They will participate in chats and demonstrations, inspiring new generations. The activities aim to bring the public closer to high-performance sports in a light and educational way.
