PLOC celebrates 21 years with a unique festival at Qualistage: 21 artists, six hours of live nostalgia from the 1980s.
Latin America’s biggest retro event takes a bold step in 2026. The iconic PLOC Party, known for turning nostalgia into a living celebration, becomes a full-scale festival. On February 28 at Qualistage in Rio de Janeiro, 21 major artists from Brazil’s 80s music scene will share one stage in an unforgettable night.
21 years of PLOC: from beach party to cultural phenomenon
Created in 2004 as a summer party, PLOC grew into a pop-culture reference. It now spans continents with around 150 editions per year and over 5 million attendees since its debut.
“This will be the greatest 80s celebration Rio has ever seen. PLOC has become an emotional meeting point,” says creator Luciano Vianna.
A lineup that bridges generations
The show features icons like Paquitas (Catuxita & Xiquitita), Trem da Alegria (Luciano Nassyn + Juninho Bill), Zé Henrique (Yahoo), Alex Gil (Polegar), Guilherme Isnard (Zero), Felipe Dylon, Vinícius Cantuária, Avellar Love (João Penca & Seus Miquinhos Amestrados), and many others. DJ DOM LV will also command the dance floor with classic grooves.
Newcomers like Juninho Bill, Felipe Dylon, and Vinícius Cantuária add fresh energy to the nostalgic lineup. “PLOC has lasted longer than the 80s themselves — and it keeps growing,” says Avellar Love.
The future is also memory
As part of the 21-year celebration, PLOC is producing a documentary that will reveal behind-the-scenes stories, archival footage, and testimonials that capture the cultural importance of this multigenerational movement.
