Helena Fretta Gallery presents 15 major artists in “Arte Catarinense – memória preservada”, opening to the public on March 17.
This third edition reaffirms the gallery’s mission to celebrate the artists who shaped the visual arts of Santa Catarina. Around 40 pieces — paintings, sculptures, watercolors, and drawings — create a rich overview of the state’s artistic heritage.
Gallery owner Helena Fretta highlights that part of the collection arrives exclusively for this edition, fostering dialogue across generations and styles. Among the artists featured are Aldo Beck, Eli Heil, Elke Hering, Hassis, Martinho de Haro, Rodrigo de Haro, Schwanke, and Willy Zumblick, as well as newcomers Eduardo Dias and Loly Hosterno, whose works are rarely seen on the market.
“We included Eduardo Dias and Loly Hosterno, artists whose works are rarely available for sale,” says Helena Fretta.
All works are available for purchase, encouraging collecting and valuing Santa Catarina’s great masters. The exhibition runs until April 11 at Helena Fretta Gallery, Rua Presidente Coutinho, 532, downtown Florianópolis, open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Admission is free.
