São Paulo Dance Company (SPDC) is heading back to Europe for its 2026 international tour, with performances and an educational workshop scheduled across February and March. The company is part of São Paulo State’s Secretariat of Culture, Economy and Creative Industries and is managed by Associação Pró-Dança.

The tour’s repertoire brings together seven pieces that spotlight the ensemble’s range, moving between classical foundations and contemporary language. The program includes Yoin by Jomar Mesquita; The Eighth by Stephen Shropshire; Agora by Cassi Abranches; Gnawa by Nacho Duato; Le Chant du Rossignol by Marco Goecke; Odisseia by Joëlle Bouvier; and Umbó by Leilane Teles.

“Returning to Europe is a great joy. SPDC has built a strong relationship with international audiences, and this tour strengthens that bond,” says Inês Bogéa, the company’s artistic director.

Bogéa adds that each city will host a distinct combination of works, shaped with local presenters and aligned with each venue’s history and with the company’s identity. The idea is to let the group renew itself on every stage while balancing technique and expression.

The itinerary starts in Baden-Baden, Germany, then continues in France through Istres, Fréjus, Les Sables-D’Olonne, Saint-Priest, Roubaix and Valenciennes. Along the way, SPDC will also hold a workshop in Baden-Baden, sharing its technique, creative process and onstage experience with participants.

2026 Europe tour dates and cities

Across seven stops, the tour connects Germany and France through a rotating “triple bill” approach, with programs tailored in collaboration with presenters. Baden-Baden features two performances plus the tour’s workshop.
