From March 6 to 8, Paraíba do Sul becomes an open-air science lab. The Science Caravan, a traveling project by Fundação Cecierj, will stop at Praça Marquês de São João Marcos offering free activities that merge fun and learning.

Housed in an adapted truck, the initiative features exhibition rooms, themed tents, and an inflatable planetarium that projects the night sky. Interactive games and experiments in Physics, Math, and Biology invite visitors to engage with science in a playful way.

“Our goal is to bring knowledge beyond the classroom,” said State Secretary Anderson Moraes.

Cecierj president Ricardo Piquet adds that fostering curiosity is vital: “In an era of technological innovation, initiatives that promote scientific learning shape the future.”

Among the attractions, the planetarium sessions and the dark room stand out—spaces where light-free experiments reveal optical phenomena. All activities run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with trained monitors.
