SKY airs SKY ao Vivo from Jan 6–8, hosted by Robson Nunes in Punta del Este, with entertainment, pop culture and sports editions.
SKY opened 2026 with a live, beachside special broadcast from Punta del Este, Uruguay. From January 6 to 8, actor, host and comedian Robson Nunes leads the programs from an exclusive structure set up on the sand, available on YouTube and on the SKY Customer Channel.
Named SKY ao Vivo, the project features three themed editions showcasing SKY’s 2026 lineup with a holiday mood and interactions with Brazilian tourists. The special also welcomes Argentine football icon Sergio Goycochea, the former goalkeeper remembered for the 1990 World Cup.
Three themed editions
On January 6, the focus is kids and families. The selection ranges from classic cartoons like Dexter and Courage the Cowardly Dog to newer animations such as Jorel and Teen Titans Go!, available through SKY’s channels and on SKY+, its live TV and streaming platform.
The day also highlights variety content, including reality and entertainment shows carried by channels such as H&H, History, Multishow and GNT.
On January 7, the spotlight shifts to pop culture, exploring films and series that remain fan favorites. Examples mentioned include titles like Dune, Avengers, Toy Story and The Hunger Games, plus series such as House of the Dragon, Euphoria, The Boys, Daredevil and X-Men ’97.
The broadcast also points to content arriving through TV channels and streaming partners available to customers, including HBO Max, Paramount+, Disney+ and Prime Video. Robson Nunes also tours Punta del Este to hear what Brazilian tourists expect from upcoming movie releases.
The closing edition on January 8 is dedicated to sports, with an overview of major national and international competitions. The topics include state championships, the Brasileirão and the Brazilian Super Cup, as well as global events such as the Champions League, NFL, NBA, Formula 1, UFC, tennis Grand Slams and top volleyball tournaments.
During the show, SKY plans audience interactions and an interview with Sergio Goycochea, who will discuss the 2026 World Cup and share highlights from his career.
DIRECTV partnership and regional reach
The initiative stems from a partnership with DIRECTV Latin America and DGO, a streaming platform operating in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru and Ecuador. Both brands belong to Waiken ILW, the same holding company as SKY, which has also been producing live broadcasts from Punta del Este for Latin American audiences.
The move reinforces SKY and SKY+’s positioning as an entertainment-and-sports hub, bringing live TV and leading streaming services together in one place for customers.
Robson Nunes marks 20 years with SKY
The program also highlights SKY’s long-running partnership with Robson Nunes. In 2026, he completes 20 years with the company after hosting the Customer Channel and taking part in campaigns, broadcasts and special activations tied to the brand.
