Sonora Brasil launches 2025 season exploring encounters, times, and territories of Brazilian music.

2025 season features ten episodes

The series Sonora Brasil – Encontros, Tempos e Territórios celebrates Brazil’s musical diversity in ten episodes. The documentary premieres on November 26, at 9 PM on SescTV, with reruns throughout the week.

Direction and series concept

Directed by Gabriela Barreto and Tobias Rodil, the series explores musical expressions from different Brazilian regions, connecting past and present. The show highlights music as a link between identities, territories, and times.

Premiere episode: Alagoas

The episode “Alagoas” brings together Chau do Pife and Andréa Laís, promoting dialogue between tradition and contemporary music. The pife sounds blend with the creativity of a new generation of northeastern Brazilian music through stories, rehearsals, and conversations.
