St. Petersburg Classical Ballet presents “The Nutcracker” in Brazil with Alexander Volchkov and 24 dancers on international tour.
Magic, Technique and Discipline on Stage
In two acts, Tchaikovsky’s classic returns to Brazilian stages in 2025, more than a show: a ritual of excellence, discipline, and enchantment.
Under the direction of Kirill Safin, graduate of the renowned Vaganova and Mariinsky academies, the company upholds the technical standard that makes Russian ballet world-renowned.
The tour features 24 dancers, including Alexander Volchkov, premier of the Bolshoi Ballet, and Maria Tomilova, principal dancer of Ballet Yuri Grigorovich, together performing over 150 shows in 2025.
The company, with around 70 dancers, maintains an intense daily routine of classes and rehearsals, refining technique and choreography before each performance.
The Brazilian audience will see the show first, with performances in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Goiânia, and Brasília, before touring Latin America.
More than art, what audiences witness is the result of dedication, discipline, and perfection, a tradition surviving borders and challenges, including international conflicts.
