Premiere performance in Brazil
The St. Petersburg Classical Ballet arrives in Brazil for a tour through four capitals and presents its acclaimed production of “The Nutcracker” in two acts, featuring special guest Alexander Volchkov. The staging follows the classical Russian tradition, with choreography, sets and costumes that highlight the poetry of the ballet.
The production revisits the holiday magic of Piotr I. Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece, guiding the audience from Clara’s Christmas Eve celebration to the Kingdom of Sweets.

Alexander Volchkov, premier of the Bolshoi Ballet, adds brilliance to the second-act pas de deux, elevating the experience to a level rarely seen on Brazilian stages.

Synopsis
On Christmas Eve, Clara receives a nutcracker as a gift. At midnight, it comes to life and leads her on an enchanted journey. After defeating the Mouse King, Clara and the Prince travel to the Kingdom of Sweets, welcomed by the Sugar Plum Fairy and surrounded by dances from around the world.
