SuperVia hosts Hip Hop Train with cultural activities on Nov. 15

SuperVia holds the Hip Hop Train with DJs, graffiti and cultural attractions on the Belford Roxo line.

SuperVia, in partnership with the Museu do Grafite, promotes another edition of its cultural initiatives aboard metropolitan trains on November 15. The Hip Hop Train runs along the Belford Roxo line, celebrating urban culture and giving visibility to artists from communities across Greater Rio de Janeiro.

The event follows the success of projects such as the Samba Train and the Choro Train, integrating the company’s social calendar. The initiative highlights local artistic expressions that emerge from the regions and communities connected by the railway.

Activities begin at Central do Brasil at 10 a.m., with DJ battles, live graffiti, an exhibition by visual artists from the Museu do Grafite and a conversation circle with writers from the peripheries presenting their literary works. Boarding is scheduled for 1 p.m., bound for Belford Roxo station.

During the trip, DJs perform inside the train cars, bringing Hip Hop music to passengers and turning the journey into a moving celebration of urban culture.

“SuperVia understands public transportation as a space for coexistence, expression and inclusion. The Hip Hop Train brings art and culture into the train, connecting people in a positive and transformative way,” says Sedineia Cristina, Community Relations Supervisor.

The Hip Hop Train is part of SuperVia’s initiatives focused on promoting culture, diversity and social development in communities along the rail network. The company also supports programs that encourage dialogue, respect and social belonging through art.
