With over 150 free spots, the Tatuí Conservatory opens applications until March 9, featuring new specializations in Choro and Historical Performance.
The Tatuí Conservatory, the largest music and theater school in Latin America, has launched its 2nd Student Selection Process for 2026. This edition welcomes two new specializations: Choro, focused on Brazilian popular music, and Historical Performance, dedicated to the study and interpretation of early music.
The Choro program lasts two years and deepens technical, interpretive, and improvisational aspects of the genre. Meanwhile, the Historical Performance program offers intensive study of baroque and classical repertoire using period instruments and stylistic research.
Applications are open until March 9 and can be submitted online for free through the Conservatory’s website (https://www.conservatoriodetatui.org.br/estude-conosco/processo-seletivo/“>https://www.conservatoriodetatui.org.br/estude-conosco/processo-seletivo/). Selection procedures vary depending on the course, with both in-person and remote auditions available.
The program also includes courses in Classical Music, Popular Music, Music Education, Braille Music Notation, and Performing Arts. Affirmative actions ensure that 50% of the spots are reserved for students from public schools and 5% for people with disabilities.
