The Gondwana concert brings together Alegre Corrêa, François Muleka and Mariana Baraj at Paradigma Cine Arte in Florianópolis on April 7, free admission.
A Supercontinent as Musical Metaphor
Terças Sonoras kicks off its 2026 season with a concert that bridges continents. On April 7, at 7:30 PM, the stage of Paradigma Cine Arte in Florianópolis welcomes Gondwana, featuring Alegre Corrêa and François Muleka, with special guest Mariana Baraj from Argentina.
The project’s name is intentional. Gondwana was the ancient supercontinent that once joined South America and Africa. That same idea of shared origin shapes the duo’s original repertoire, weaving together rhythms, languages and cultural influences from Brazil, Africa and Latin America into a single sonic narrative.
The Power of Creative Encounter
The partnership between Alegre Corrêa and François Muleka brings together distinct backgrounds in a rich creative symbiosis. For this season opener, the duo is joined by Mariana Baraj, a singer, percussionist and composer celebrated for her work blending Latin American popular music, sound research and contemporary expression.
The concert offers a listening experience that connects memory, identity and creation in a single flow — a soundscape pointing toward new possibilities for cultural dialogue.
A Landmark Project in Florianópolis
One of the most respected ongoing projects in Florianópolis’s music scene, Terças Sonoras reinforces its curatorial commitment to aesthetic diversity and artistic quality with this opening night.
Reaching a new season of Terças Sonoras reflects the project’s consistency and the audience’s growing interest in more personal, sensitive musical experiences. Each year, we seek to expand that listening and create encounters that make sense both artistically and for the city.
