The play “Trilhas, Noite Cheia de Lua de Sol” will be staged in Belo Horizonte on November 27 and 28 at Teatro João Ceschiatti.
The theatrical production “Trilhas, Noite Cheia de Lua de Sol” arrives in Belo Horizonte for two performances on November 27 and 28 at Teatro João Ceschiatti, inside the Palácio das Artes. Part of the national tour “Resistência nos Trilhos – Remontagem e Circulação”, supported by FAC-DF, the show has already visited several Brazilian cities, including Ceilândia, Vitória, São Paulo, and Brasília.
Contemporary theater and visual experimentation
Written, directed, and performed by Cláudia Andrade, “Trilhas” merges visual arts, video art, and contemporary dramaturgy to explore themes of femininity, power, and human fragility. On stage, Cláudia performs alongside Eloisa Cunha and Genice Barego, actresses over 50 who bring deep emotional maturity and artistic harmony to the piece.
The project originated in 2017 during a workshop led by playwright Maurício Arruda and later developed under the guidance of Fernando Villar and João Antônio. The result is a theatrical journey that reflects on aging, empathy, and the universal search for self-understanding through human connections.
Stories of encounter and transformation
The plot follows Silvia (Eloisa Cunha) and Gimena (Cláudia Andrade), two women over 50 who meet by chance at a rural bus stop in Brazil. As they share stories, memories, and conflicts, they are guided by Gaivota (Genice Barego), a mystical, ageless character representing intuition and spiritual connection.
“Provoking emotion, reflection, and transformation is what drives every artist,” says Cláudia Andrade. “The audience’s response gave us the energy to bring this experience to new cities.”
Creative team and accessibility
The production features Aníbal Alexandre (video art and mapping), Lemar Rezende (lighting and technical coordination), Lipe Duque (image capture), and Mateus Ferrari (music and sound design). The video cast includes Carlos Góes, Demetrius Christophidys, Guilherme Angelim, Wol Nunes, and Áurea Liz.
The show emphasizes accessibility and inclusion, offering performances with sign language interpretation and audio description, as well as educational and social initiatives such as workshops, talks, and free tickets for community groups.
