The Éden Stage, located in the historic Vila Itororó, will host a special cultural immersion this weekend. The free workshops “Peixinho Nuni – From Angola to Brazil” offer a unique in-person experience for children. The initiative combines music, theater, and storytelling, highlighting the richness of Afro-Brazilian culture and African heritage.

Activities are designed for children accompanied by parents or guardians. The proposal seeks to strengthen family bonds through art and playfulness.

Playful experience and ancestry

Inspired by the children’s musical “As Aventuras do Peixinho Nuni,” written by Carla Casarim, the dynamics explore sensitive themes. The project addresses the relationship between the African continent and Brazil’s formation. Topics such as ancestry, environment, and diversity guide the narrative.

Educators Maria Luciana Alves and Natália Amorim lead the meetings. They invite little ones to experience intense creative processes. The goal is to stimulate curiosity and imagination, valuing ancestral knowledge in a participatory way.

Inclusion and age groups

For better engagement, activities respect each group’s pace. There are divisions into two age groups: 0 to 4 years and 4 to 8 years. In total, four 60-minute workshops provide a welcoming environment.

The educational approach aims to contribute to an anti-racist childhood. The project reinforces representation and the beauty of narratives coming from Africa.
