On April 4 and 5, Carioca Shopping offers a free chocolate treasure hunt, face painting, a kids’ theater show, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Easter at Carioca Shopping: full lineup
Easter at Carioca Shopping is set to turn the holiday weekend into an unforgettable family outing in Vila da Penha, Rio de Janeiro. All activities are free, making it one of the most accessible Easter events in the city this season.
On Saturday, April 4, from 3 PM to 7 PM, the highlight is a chocolate treasure hunt. Kids receive a map and follow clues through the mall until they find their sweet reward. To join in, families must download the Carioca Shopping app and redeem the benefit under the promotions tab. Maps are distributed at the Benefits Counter on the 2nd floor, at least 1 hour before the activity, on a first-come, first-served basis. Spots are limited, and an app reservation does not guarantee a map.
Children who complete the route and return to the counter are rewarded with chocolates — turning a simple mall visit into a genuine Easter adventure.
Face painting and the Easter Bunny
A face painting station will be open throughout the event, from 3 PM to 7 PM, right next to the Benefits Counter. The Easter Bunny will also be present on both days, available for photos and family memories.
Kids’ theater on Sunday
On Sunday, April 5, the weekend wraps up with the children’s theater show “Encanto e a Magia dos Ovos de Chocolate” (Enchantment and the Magic of Chocolate Eggs). The playful performance closes out the Easter celebration on a creative, imaginative note.
