The Ronald McDonald House in Rio de Janeiro has launched its Easter solidarity campaign, collecting chocolate gift boxes for families supported by the institution. The initiative is part of the Food Basket Program and aims to reach approximately 70 families of children and teenagers receiving cancer treatment.

A meaningful gesture during difficult times

Many of the families staying at Ronald McDonald House RJ travel from other cities across Rio de Janeiro state — or even from distant regions of Brazil — to access treatment at public hospitals in the capital. Spending weeks or months away from home makes every act of kindness especially meaningful.

In addition to chocolate donations, the program provides families with essential food and hygiene items, helping to ease the daily burden of life during treatment.

“Easter is a moment of renewal and hope. With this campaign, we want to offer a gesture of care to families facing daily challenges during treatment. Every donation makes a difference.” — Carlos Neves, Operations Director, Ronald McDonald House Rio de Janeiro

How to donate

Donations are accepted through April 1, dropped off directly at the Ronald McDonald House RJ reception, every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Companies, partners, and individuals are all welcome to contribute and expand the campaign’s reach.
