Recognized as the largest and most inclusive web series festival in the world, Rio Web Fest 2025 will showcase over 300 productions from 40 countries from November 28 to December 1 at Cidade das Artes Bibi Ferreira, with free entry.
The event includes screenings, panels, workshops, business meetings, and a gala ceremony, positioning Brazil as an international hub for digital audiovisual content.
Podcasts are a highlight, with Cláudia Abreu nominated for “Ninguém Com Esse Nome” and Luís Miranda for “Angola Janga”, showcasing the strength of independent audio narratives.
Over four days, the audience can watch competitive series, attend lectures, workshops, and networking activities in the festival studios.
International guests include representatives from Canada, Germany, South Korea, and the United States, fostering partnerships and connections with the Brazilian industry.
National highlights include “Rotina”, “Depois da Meia-Noite”, and “Som & Fúria”. Luciana Vendramini is nominated for Best Drama Actress for “O Despertar de Alice”. International productions like “Ruby” (France) and “Buried” (Australia) also feature.
The festival expands to audio storytelling, highlighting podcasts like “Projeto Humanos” and “Não Inviabilize”, reinforcing narrative innovation.
Business meetings serve as strategic spaces for independent projects to gain momentum and for creators to share experiences.
Petrobras is the exclusive sponsor, supporting the event’s structure and diversity. The highlight will be the Rio Web Fest Awards, with 80 prizes and international seals.
The festival will take place both in-person and online, free of charge, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Cidade das Artes, Avenida das Américas, 5300 – Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro.
