Bangu Shopping kicks off 2026 with a Pet Adoption Campaign on January 10, promoting responsible adoption and action against animal abandonment.
Bangu Shopping is starting the year by reinforcing its commitment to animal welfare with its first Pet Adoption Campaign of 2026, taking place on Saturday, January 10, in the Cinema corridor. The action invites the public to begin the year with an act of empathy, offering a new home to rescued dogs and cats.
Organized in partnership with Unisuam and the Municipal Secretariat for Animal Protection and Defense (SMPDA), the campaign runs from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature animals available for responsible adoption. All pets have undergone veterinary assessment and are vaccinated and dewormed, ready to receive care, attention and affection in their new families.
Beyond encouraging adoption, the initiative also promotes public awareness, sharing guidance on responsible pet ownership, animal welfare and the care required for a healthy coexistence with pets. In doing so, the campaign helps fight abandonment and strengthens a culture of respect for animals.
By opening its annual social action calendar with the Pet Adoption Campaign, Bangu Shopping reaffirms its role as a hub for community engagement and for fostering solidarity, responsibility and respect for life.
