Bodytech brings free workouts to Ipanema for Bossa Nova weekend

Bodytech will turn Ipanema’s sand into an open-air gym with free classes Jan 23–25, marking Brazil’s Bossa Nova National Day.

Partnering with Rio Bossa Nossa, the fitness brand is bringing a morning schedule that blends music and movement at Ipanema Beach (Jardim de Alah). The idea is simple: take wellness beyond the gym walls and into one of Rio’s most iconic settings.

Eduardo Netto, Bodytech’s technical director, says the initiative strengthens the company’s commitment to health and community connection. “This partnership with Rio Bossa Nossa on Ipanema’s shoreline is an opportunity to offer our expertise in physical activity in an emblematic environment, promoting well-being and connection with the community,” he says.

Free beach classes

Across the three days, visitors can join outdoor sessions at no cost, including Mat Pilates, stretching, localized training, Wolf Fit, and Dance Mix. With instructors on the sand, the program invites locals and travelers to start the day moving, breathing, and enjoying Rio’s summer rhythm.

Rio Bossa Nossa sets a laid-back atmosphere that ties Bossa Nova’s legacy to the city’s vibrant summer vibe. As a result, culture and fitness meet in a beach experience designed to help people move, unwind, and celebrate Rio.
