Mall sponsors Race Against Hunger and reinforces the Natal Sem Fome campaign in Rio.
Botafogo Praia Shopping strengthens its social commitment by sponsoring the 2nd edition of the Race and Walk Against Hunger, organized by Ação da Cidadania. The event takes place on November 30, from 5 a.m., at Aterro do Flamengo, and reinforces annual actions to fight food insecurity.
As part of the solidarity movement, the mall launched the Natal Sem Fome campaign, a nine-year initiative involving Ancar Ivanhoe shopping centers across Brazil. Until December 24, visitors can donate non-perishable food at the collection point next to Santa’s throne.
Event promotes sports, solidarity and well-being
The Race and Walk Against Hunger encourages purposeful physical activity. Held at the Botafogo inlet, with a view of Sugarloaf Mountain, the event features 10 km, 5 km and 1 km walk modalities. Registration is available on the Ticket Sports website, with limited spots.

Running at the Botafogo inlet, with the most beautiful view of Rio, is a gift that unites sports, health and solidarity. It matches our audience perfectly,” says marketing manager Isabella Colonna.
Free kits through the aMais program
To encourage participation, part of the race kits will be offered for free through aMais, the Botafogo Praia Shopping loyalty and gamification program. To redeem the kit, users must register and earn points by completing missions in the app.
Each kit includes the official shirt, bag, identification number, timing chip and medal. Pickup will take place from November 27 to 29, on the 3rd floor of the mall, in front of the Lindt store.
