The Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rio de Janeiro is organizing an exclusive business mission to Milano Design Week 2026, taking place from April 20 to 24, 2026. The initiative brings together entrepreneurs, architects, designers, and creative industry professionals eager to experience the cutting edge of global design and innovation firsthand.

The mission coincides with Milan Design Week, which encompasses the iconic Salone del Mobile at Fiera Milano Rho and the Fuorisalone, a city-wide circuit of events and exhibitions held at landmark venues across Milan. In 2025, the Salone del Mobile welcomed more than 302,000 visitors from 151 countries, with 2,000 exhibitors from 40 nations — numbers that confirm its status as the world’s premier design event.

Immersive experience and strategic networking

Built around the concept “Sguardi sul Futuro” (Glimpses of the Future), the mission delivers a full-spectrum experience: guided tours of the fair, a design tour through the Fuorisalone, structured networking moments, and cultural activities that bridge business, global trends, and creative knowledge.

The group will be guided exclusively by Renata Zappellini, a design and interiors trend specialist with over 15 years of professional experience. Renata will lead participants through the highlights of both the Salone and the Fuorisalone, offering strategic insights on innovation, sustainability, design technology, and emerging global aesthetic movements.

Day-by-day schedule

April 20 — Welcome cocktail with pre-fair insights.

April 21 — Guided visit to Salone del Mobile with group transfer.

April 22 — Guided Design Tour through the Fuorisalone.

April 23 — Exclusive masterclass at Istituto Europeo di Design (IED Milan) and farewell cocktail.

April 24 — Free day for cultural experiences and return.

Masterclass at IED Milan: designing the human-machine future

One of the mission’s highlights is an exclusive masterclass at IED Milan, an institution founded in 1966 and globally recognized for its leadership in design, innovation, and sustainability. This year’s theme: The Future of Design: Human-Machine Co-Creation. Participants will engage in lectures and workshops led by industry specialists, expanding their creative networks and global perspective.

By organizing this business mission to Milano Design Week 2026, the Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Rio reaffirms its role as a strategic bridge between Brazil and Italy, fostering international connections, innovation, and business opportunities for the Brazilian market.

Exclusive e-book on macro trends

Every participant will receive an exclusive e-book of over 50 pages authored by Renata Zappellini, featuring an in-depth analysis of the macro trends shaping Milano Design Week 2026. Topics include innovation and sustainability, design and technology, cultural and aesthetic movements, and strategic insights into the sector’s future direction.

Investment and payment options

Participation is priced at 1,450 euros. Payment options include upfront PIX transfer, installments of up to 10 times on credit card (with interest), a down payment plus installments, or up to 3 interest-free installments via promissory notes.
