Cacique de Ramos starts the year with celebration. The 146th feijoada honors the bloc’s 65 years and eternal Bira Presidente. This monthly event on the third Sunday gains extra significance.

Festivities run from Jan 17 to 20 at Doce Refúgio. They blend faith, samba and gathering. The official anniversary falls on São Sebastião holiday, Jan 20.
Saturday, Jan 17
Trezena de São Sebastião starts at 10am. Blessing at 11am features the pilgrim image of Rio’s patron saint. Dom Orani João Tempesta leads. Free entry.
At 3pm, Terreiro de Crioulo hosts samba wheel with tickets on sale.
Sunday, Jan 18
The feijoada runs from 1pm to 11pm. Free entry offers samba wheel and shows by Cortes Curumim and Glória Caciqueana. Memory Center visit adds to the vibe.
Feijoada plate costs R$ 35. Churrasco buffet and snacks available. Tables for rent on site. Lineup: Ronaldinho – Craque de Samba (ex-Fundo de Quintal), Marquinhos Sensação, Grupo Caciqueando, Margarete Mendes, Liérte Junior, Grupo Biguá and Cairo Madureira.
