Pet Adoption Fair at Carioca Shopping takes place Nov 15 at 2 PM with NGO Entre Pegadas. Free admission.
On Saturday (Nov 15) at 2 PM, Carioca Shopping will host a new edition of its Pet Adoption Fair in partnership with the Entre Pegadas NGO. The event takes place on the second floor and offers visitors the chance to meet cats and dogs ready to find a loving home.
A pet-friendly mall, Carioca Shopping reaffirms its commitment to animal welfare and responsible adoption. “It’s an opportunity to offer love and care to animals rescued from the streets and vulnerable situations,” says Michelle Coutinho, the shopping center’s Marketing Manager.
Adoption requirements
Those interested in adopting must be over 21 years old and present both originals and copies of their ID, CPF (Brazilian tax ID), and proof of residence. Applicants will also undergo an interview conducted by organizers to ensure each animal is entrusted to responsible and caring guardians.

Founded in 2015, Entre Pegadas promotes best practices in animal welfare, focusing on neutering awareness and responsible ownership. Since 2016, the NGO has been active in the CEASA-RJ area, facilitating thousands of adoptions and neutering procedures to support animal health and population control.
